Attack of the IPA

My first batch was ready to drink this past week, and by all accounts of those who sampled, it was decidedly a success.  It's hoppy, a little citrusy, and goes down pretty smooth.  I'd have to say my only complaint was that there is not enough to go around.  I'm not sure where to go from here.  I've been shopping around for ingredients, and recipes, but I can't decide how I want to go about it.  I found ingredients for a double (imperial) IPA, even one that reaches 126 IBUs, and is advertised to make a Michelob Ultra drinker cry.  I thought the IBU scale topped out at 100; apparently not.  I've never tried one with that much hop.  5 different types added at 18 different times in the brewing process... I'm very interested in trying it.  I've also been looking around for some 5 gallon stainless steel pots, and a larger fermentation vessel.  I guess I'm undecided about that.  Looking back, there were exactly 2 days in that 4 week period that required a fair amount of work.  I can't imagine trying to handle that much mash and wort in my kitchen.  I could instead try and produce a 1 gallon batch every week rather than make larger batches.  Hmmm... choices.  Another thing that hasn't made the decision any easier is that TK keeps bringing me growlers from Central Waters, and suggesting that I just invest in a half barrel and a keg o rator.  He even offered to get it filled for me along with his own.  I think what I need to do now is talk to someone else who has been brewing their own for a while, and see if I can pick up some pointers.  Tonight's blog beer has been my first IPA batch; only 2 bottles left : (
